Shakitha attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and received her BS in Criminal

Justice. As an astute businesswoman, she has used both discipline and creativity, to ascend

the corporate ladder, during her 20-year career in Human Resources. Currently, she works for

ABB, Inc. as a Global Markets Senior HR Business Partner. She is also a founding partner of

Ascension HR Solutions, owner of Kuumba Studios (a creative arts production company), and

she is currently pursuing a life and career coaching certification through the International

Coaching Federation.

Shakitha Boone Gibson is an exceptionally gifted leader and visionary thinker, with a multiplicity of

gifts.  She navigates life with an abiding love for God, the Body of Christ, her family, organizational development, African American Heritage, History and Culture, her Black femaleness and womanhood, and her beloved creative arts. She works to continue her professional career by impacting individuals and organizations with trendsetting business, people, and relationship strategies. She also plans to maximize her creative prowess by creating opportunities for the showcasing of young black talent, that educate, entertain, and empower us, to use Kuumba—our creative power—to make the world a better place.
